My controller is paired but not working in-game

What to do when your controller is connected via Bluetooth but buttons aren't responding inside a game.

This is usually a mode mismatch or a game compatibility issue. Try the following:

  1. Verify the correct mode for your device: LED 1 = Android, LED 2 = iOS / macOS, LED 3 = Windows, LED 4 = dongle (TV / PC). Hold M (Mode) for 2 seconds to switch.

  2. Disconnect from other Bluetooth devices: The controller may be sending input to a different paired device. Turn off Bluetooth on other nearby devices.

  3. Restart Bluetooth on your device, then reconnect the controller.

  4. Check game controller support: Some games are keyboard and mouse only, and some have only partial controller support (controller for gameplay, keyboard/mouse for menus). Check the game's store page if unsure.

  5. If the game shows a "Grab a Controller" prompt: Press any button on your already-connected controller to re-register the input.

  6. Still not working? Unpair completely and re-pair from scratch. If the issue persists after that, try a factory reset.
