Network issues: lag, stuttering, pixelation

Steps to improve streaming quality and resolve common connection issues on ONMO+.

Written by Ivan

If you are experiencing lag, stuttering, pixelated video, audio issues, or disconnections, your connection to the ONMO+ streaming servers may be affected.

ONMO+ requires at least 20 Mbps download speed and a ping of 100 ms or less for a stable experience. However, a fast internet plan alone does not always guarantee smooth streaming. Wi-Fi signal strength, network congestion, VPNs, and other devices using the connection can also affect gameplay.

Try these steps

  1. Check your connection type. If you are using mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi if possible.

  2. Choose the right Wi-Fi band. Connect to 5 GHz if you are close to your router for faster performance. If you are playing further away or separated by walls, switch to 2.4 GHz for a stronger and more stable connection over distance.

  3. Pause downloads and close background apps. Streaming, downloads, video calls, and other devices on the same network can reduce available bandwidth.

  4. Turn off any VPN, firewall, or network restriction. These can interfere with your connection to ONMO+.

  5. Use Game Mode on your TV. If your TV supports it, enable Game Mode to reduce display delay.

  6. Reconnect your game session. Open In-Game Console Options and select the reconnect option if video or audio has stopped working.

What does the network quality warning mean?

ONMO+ monitors your connection while you play. A network quality warning means it has detected high latency, jitter, or insufficient bandwidth. This can cause delayed controls, stuttering, pixelation, or audio problems.

Try the steps above, then continue playing to see whether the connection improves.

Still having issues?

If the issue continues, contact ONMO+ Support through Live Chat in the app. Let the team know whether you are using Wi-Fi or mobile data, the device you are playing on, and whether you see an error message. This will help us investigate faster.
