Why can't I launch a Steam game that includes DLC?

Known limitation affecting some supported Steam games when the linked account also owns DLC.

Written by ONMO+ Support

ONMO+ currently supports launching the base version of Install & Play games. Downloadable content, also known as DLC, is not currently supported.

If your Steam account owns DLC for a supported game, the game may fail to launch through ONMO+. This can happen even when:

  • The base game is listed in the ONMO+ Install & Play catalog

  • The linked Steam account owns both the base game and its DLC

  • The same game launches normally through Steam on another computer

Why does this happen?

ONMO+ can currently launch only the supported base-game configuration. Because of how Steam associates DLC with an owned game, ONMO+ may be unable to start only the base version when DLC is present on the account.

This does not mean there is a problem with your Steam account or that your game or DLC licences are invalid.

Is there a workaround?

There is currently no known workaround. Restarting the session, relinking your Steam account, or purchasing the content again will not resolve this limitation.

Do not repurchase the base game or DLC.

We apologise for the inconvenience while we work to improve DLC compatibility on ONMO+.
