How do Steam Cloud saves work on ONMO+?

Sync your Steam save files and troubleshoot missing progress or save conflicts.

Written by ONMO+ Support

For Install & Play games that support Steam Cloud, your save files can sync through your Steam account and load when you play through ONMO+.

Steam Cloud availability depends on the individual game. Some games do not support it or may store certain settings and save files locally instead.

If your save files are missing

  1. Check the linked Steam account. Make sure ONMO+ is using the same Steam account that contains your save files.

  2. Check that Steam Cloud is enabled. Open Steam on your computer, go to Steam Settings, select Cloud, and make sure Steam Cloud synchronization is turned on.

  3. Check the game's Steam Cloud setting. Some games have an individual Steam Cloud option in their Steam properties or in-game settings.

  4. Wait for synchronization to finish. If Steam shows that a sync is in progress, allow it to complete before loading or closing the game.

  5. Relaunch the game. Exiting and starting a new session can trigger Steam to check for cloud saves again.

Resolving a Steam Cloud conflict

Steam may detect a conflict when the save stored in Steam Cloud is different from the save available in the current session. If Steam asks which version to keep, compare the dates and select the version containing your most recent progress.

Choosing the wrong version may replace newer progress, so review the information shown before continuing.

Protecting your progress

  • Save the game normally before ending your ONMO+ session.

  • Allow Steam Cloud synchronization to complete before closing Steam or leaving the session.

  • Use the same Steam account whenever you want to access the same cloud saves.

If the game supports Steam Cloud, the correct account is linked, and your saves still do not appear, contact ONMO+ Support via Live Chat in the app and share the game title.
