Starting a Game on ONMO+

Understand queues, loading screens, windowed mode, and other steps that may appear before a game starts.

Written by ONMO+ Support

Most ONMO+ games start automatically after you select Play. Depending on server availability and the game itself, you may see a queue, loading screen, or game window before gameplay begins.

Waiting for an available server

If all ONMO+ servers are at capacity, you will be placed in a queue and shown your current position.

Once it is your turn, you will have 5 minutes to connect and launch the game before your slot is released. Stay on the page and be ready to launch when notified.

The game takes time to load

Some games take longer than others to start, especially during the first launch. Keep the session open and allow the game time to finish loading.

If the game remains on the same loading screen or does not open, quit the session and launch it again from the ONMO+ catalog.

The game opens in windowed mode

Some games open in windowed mode by default. You can usually switch to Fullscreen or Borderless Windowed from the game's Display or Graphics settings.

On a computer, many games also support Alt + Enter to switch between windowed and fullscreen modes.

A settings screen appears

Some games display graphics, display, audio, or other settings before gameplay begins. Choose your preferred options and continue into the game.

These screens are part of the game and may appear again during future sessions.

The game requires a different input method

Input support varies by game. Some games support controllers throughout, while others require a keyboard and mouse for menus, text entry, or gameplay.

If you need to enter text on a TV or mobile device, open In-Game Console Options and select the virtual keyboard.

Launching an Install & Play game

Install & Play games may require additional Steam-specific steps, including account sign-in, updates, licence agreements, launchers, or anti-cheat setup. See the articles in the Install & Play with Steam section for help with these games.
