Why did my game session end unexpectedly?

Understand why a session may close because of inactivity, maintenance, a game crash, or a connection issue.

Written by ONMO+ Support

A game session may end because of inactivity, game maintenance, an unexpected crash, or a connection problem.

The session closed because of inactivity

ONMO+ automatically closes game sessions after a period of inactivity to conserve server resources. An on-screen warning will appear before the session ends, giving you time to resume playing.

If you need to step away, save your progress manually before leaving whenever the game does not save automatically. You can relaunch the game from the ONMO+ catalog after an inactivity timeout.

The game was taken offline for maintenance or an update

Occasionally, a game may need to close for scheduled maintenance or a required update. You will normally receive a notification before this happens.

Wait until the maintenance or update is complete, then launch the game again from the ONMO+ catalog.

The game crashed

Games can occasionally close because of an unexpected error. Launch the game again from the ONMO+ catalog and continue playing.

If the same game repeatedly crashes, contact Support through live chat and provide the game name, the action you were performing, and approximately how long you had been playing when the crash occurred.

The streaming connection was interrupted

An unstable connection can interrupt your game session. Check the Network Issues articles for help on resolving these issues.

The problem keeps happening

If your sessions continue to end unexpectedly, contact Support through live chat and include:

  • The name of the game

  • The device you are using

  • Approximately how long the session lasted

  • Any warning or error message shown

  • Whether you noticed connection problems before the session ended
